Wacker participates in China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo for the first time

Recently, Wacker showcased its numerous products in the automotive and electronics fields at the 3rd China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo, and released four heavyweight new products - including refractory materials for new energy vehicle busbar protection, high-performance thermal conductive materials for automotive chip packaging and heat dissipation, and thermal conductive silicone materials for charging guns used in new energy vehicle charging systems. In addition, Wacker will also showcase silicon-based liquid cooling technology developed by a Chinese team, which can meet the cooling needs of cloud computing and data centers and reduce operating costs.

New material: Refractory material for electric vehicle busbar protection
At the "Battery Safety" exhibition area, Wacker will showcase for the first time its insulation refractory layer material, SILMIX R CG 65871 ORG CN, developed specifically for the protection of new energy vehicle battery pack busbars.  
In the core "three electric" system of new energy vehicles, the busbar responsible for current distribution and conduction is an important component to ensure the efficiency and safety of the entire vehicle operation. The SILMIX R CG 65871 ORG CN silicone rubber developed by Wacker can quickly ceramicize during high temperature combustion at 1000 degrees Celsius, block flame temperature spread, and maintain insulation continuously. In the event of thermal runaway of the battery pack, it can also effectively provide safety protection.
Thermal conductive materials for automotive electronic chips
In the "Intelligent Driving" exhibition area, Wacker showcased its thermal conductive materials for automotive electronic chip packaging solutions. With the miniaturization development of semiconductor devices and electronic control units, the operating temperature is increasing, and the demand for heat dissipation of power devices is also constantly increasing.
The SEMICOSIL exhibited by Wacker during the Chain Expo ®  993 TC and 9910 TC thermal conductive adhesive can be used for TIM1 material in automotive chip packaging. This product can withstand temperature fluctuations between -40 degrees Celsius and+180 degrees Celsius. Even under long-term high temperature conditions, it can still remain constant. At the same time, it has excellent primer free adhesion to materials such as metals and ceramics, and can cure at medium temperatures, making it easy to process.
In addition, Wacker will also showcase its high-performance thermal conductive silicone grease SEMICOSIL for automotive grade chip TIM2 ®  96X9 TC。 This product has high thermal conductivity, low thermal resistance, and excellent thermal stability, and is widely used in fields such as laser radar and autonomous driving.
Solid silicone material for the heat transfer tube of the charging gun
Wacker will also exhibit for the first time the solid silicone material ELASTOSIL for the heat transfer tube of the charging gun ®  R plus 4081/55 and R plus 4381/80. This product is applied to the thermal management of new energy vehicle charging systems, with high thermal conductivity and excellent comprehensive mechanical properties. It can effectively solve the problem of overheating in the fast charging system of new energy vehicles and improve the damage resistance of the heat transfer pipe material.
In addition, Wacker also exhibited dozens of products during the Chain Expo, including optical performance organic silicon OCR, new energy vehicle cables, organic silicon leather, and silicone rubber seals, which are applied to automotive interiors, door waterproof seals, onboard screens, and other automotive components or products.

New Technology: Organic Silicon Immersion Coolant
During the Chain Expo, Wacker also launched a series of liquid cooled silicone oils developed for China's high-performance computing (HPC) and data center cooling needs. With the explosive development of big data and artificial intelligence, traditional air cooling has gradually become unable to meet the cooling needs of AI servers and data centers. Wacker's silicone immersion coolant adopts an innovative molecular structure design, which has lower viscosity than traditional silicon-based coolant, thereby achieving efficient heat dissipation, helping data centers improve energy efficiency, and supporting sustainable development. At the same time, its flash point is as high as around 180 degrees, which can better maintain the security of data centers and prevent accidents such as combustion.
